Tasik Lama - Bandar

This is the park where I used to jogged every Sunday. Its about 50 m away from my flat. It has a mini falls inside of it and on top of the falls there is a lake. A lot of people use to go here especially the old ones. If you're looking for a place to relax..well this is one of the place to be with.  A great place to escape the busy life in the city!

Jerudong Park

One week after we went to One Billion Barrel we landed on this park. They say this park was once full of rides. You don't need to pay for entrance or even for rides. You're not going to spent anything not a single cent  all you have to do is fall in line to whichever ride you may wish. Now, it  looks like a long forgotten park. There are still some operating rides like carousel and bumper cars and as for the rest of the park they made it a one whole big playground. This park is still a good place for picture taking tho.

One Billion Barrel Monument - Seria, Brunei

Looks like a gateway to heaven but no, its not! This is One Billion Barrel Monument. Brunei Darussalam has been known for its enormous reserve of gas and petroleum. As to the exact date when this was built.. that i have to research first. Their gas station here was manipulated by  Brunei Shell Petroleum Company.

I took a shot of this early July 2010. This was during my relatives visit here. We did tour them in the country so I myself even if I'm staying here for almost a year and a half, this is my first time to take a momentary look of this place.

Kampong Ayer

This is the Kampong Ayer or they so called "The Water Village".  It is compose of small villages located in middle of Brunei River.  They have their own mosque, schools and even market situated on top of the water. Their main means of transportation is a small boat or water taxis.

Above is my beautiful auntie, trying to feel the cold breeze of air. A perfect glance of River with her stunning smile.

Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque - Bandar Seri Begawan

View from Hua Ho Yaysan is the outstanding mosque of Omar Ali Saifuddin. It consist of golden domes and marble walls. It is surrounded by water which was artificially designed for it.  At night it was filled with lights making the mosque look like a castle from the distance.

The Royal Regalia Museum - Brunei

This is one the best museum in the country, the exterior architecture of the building was embossed with tombstones from nearby areas.

After my stressful day at work i took some walk around Bandar.  I spotted  this scenario and took some shot of it.  Knowing Brunei is a quiet place, people here don't have much of their night life. One of their hang out is Coffee Shop with unlimited wifi or just roaming around in The Mall doing some window shopping. In Philippines we called it "tambay sa Mall". Tired from my usual routine going on malls and drinking a lot of coffee,  sometimes I just sit in one corner and reflect.
